ARIA & KEN TO HAWAII TO GET HER SETTLED

(Sunday:  I inserted one more picture tonight.  Check it out).
Ken took advantage of his frequent flier miles to escort Aria on her way to BYU-HAWAII.  They arrived a few days early so they could do some sight seeing and Aria could get the feel for the island.

They stayed at a beautiful hotel near the University called Turtle Bay.(Years ago we saw John Wayne get married there as we peeked through the bushes!)

Here are some of the pictures he has sent from his phone with a few explanations.
Here's Aria in front of the entrance to the University.

Ken says, "AHHHHHHHHH.

Morning in Hawaii.
Ken said every morning the sunrise is so different.

Aria in from of the Hawaii, Laie Temple.

Old friends. Scott & his wife, Ken, Brad and his wife.

As coincidence would have it, our dear friend LaMoyne Garside, a friend of 47 years and next door neighbor, passed away a few days before.  Dennis & Ken were good friends with Brad and Scott.  It was nice that Ken could be there for the memorial service and had some time to catch up on the intervening years.  Great visit.

That's LaMoyne holding his new baby, Scott.  Brad is in the red shirt and you know the rest of the group.  This would be about early 1967. Jayne had her gall bladder removed right after the baby so little Scott lived at our house for a few weeks.

 Hang ten.

 Another sunrise.

(Ken's text) This is Aria with her teammate. A very nice and tall catcher from, get this, Mississippi. She was very nice and one great long boarder. Aria needs an "L". Lol

  1. WHOA!! Hope this isn't too late, but THANK YOU so much for all the pictures, eh? BRAD GARSIDE! One of my first loves! And that MURAL. So nice to see a closer picture of it, not to mention the always beautiful Aria.

Seeing Kenny with Scotty and Brad, if I hold my fingers just so (covering the wives) and squint my eyes, I can see three little boys.

    ENJOYED, thank you.
