A few weeks ago we had a family get-together at Maui & Kara Chai's house. There was lots of good food, swimming and after we ate, a tour of their beautiful home.

Bob at the grill, Mike Black, Beki and Maui.

Dennis greeting Beki. Liz looking on.

 Too funny!

Dennis and January. Sue's first outing after the back operation. Kara, sad hearing about it!
Maui giving Sue and gentle hug.

 Jerry Bird (Nala's husband), Kara.

 Beki and husband Tom. Nalani.

 Jerry, (Nalani's husband).

Their beautiful pool. The 1st building on the left houses the controls for the pool. It has different colored lights, and water spouts. The building beyond is the "conservatory", housing a library and a gorgeous grand piano.

(Ken was on his way home from India, and Coppelia decided to attend the next gathering).

OUT OF INDIA

The long awaited evening arrived. Ken and Coppelia had invited us over for an Indian dinner and to watch a slide show of some of the pictures he took during his 5-week stay in India.

 Welcome to our humble home.

Dinner is nearly ready. Come, enjoy the new formal dining room.

Steven is putting the finishing touches on the place settings. Note the new table and chairs that can seat up to 14 people.

Getting the food ready to present. Several Indian dishes, all authentic and cooked by the Agles.

While waiting, Dennis took advantage of playing on that beautiful grand piano.

After dinner we all headed down to the media room to watch a presentation of some of the pictures Ken took.

It was great to see the pictures on that giant screen and hear Ken tell us about them. He had divided them into 5 groups, with the main theme of "what I love about India".

Steven and Nathan cleared up all the dishes and took care of all the food. Thanks, guys.

Thank you for coming to our special evening.

Who's top dog around here?

What's one of his favorite things to do?

What's his favorite toy?

 Well, here you go.

 Off he goes.

He brings it back (by now it is pretty slimey).

 Never tires!

His favorite toy. . . a depleted basketball~

 A close-up

These shoes are specifically for kicking slimey basketballs.

Oh Oh - - -

Remember that Thanksgiving Dinner last year. It was so wonderful, but we were sad to have a few members absent. Nevertheless, ignoring a very comfortably, sated person lying prone on the floor with a few looking on, note those beautiful floors.

Sad news. The half-bath just off the kitchen, unbeknownst to anyone, has had a slow leak and has done a real job on their wood floors.

Call in the restoration guys. They will suck all the water up and then re-sand and then re-finish the floors! Ugh. What a mess to live with during the process.

(look closely and you can see the new entryway into the new dining room  {formerly the music/home teaching room} - still a work in progress)

Guess that's good when you realize you can finally use that insurance you've been paying for all those years.
