THE LANCASTERS GUEST ROOM

Rolfe, Iowa  will be celebrating its sesquicentennial this year. Among the many things happening will be a Parade of Homes and they have asked the Lancasters if their home would be in it. They agreed but now they are working hard to finish up a few projects. They have put the finishing touches on the guest room. Over the last few years they have done a lot to it and it shows.
The iron bed is an antique as is the table.

The amoire and chest of drawers are also antiques.
There are two entrances to the bedroom.
That glass door goes into their living room.

This is the hallway that leads to the bedroom. Julie said it was a challenge, wall-papering this area. Suzanne also knows the challenges of wallpapering. What a beautiful pattern.Note the lovely finish on the floor.

  1. This is also The Bat Room. The place you get to stay when there are bats at your house and they can't be found within a reasonable amount of time and you need a place to stay.

I have slept in that bed more than once. I hope to never have to sleep there again.

    It is, however, quite beautiful.
