The Ken & Coppelia family had planned to spend a few days camping at Zion National Park last week. Ken found out he had to travel to Washington, D.C., so he sent the following:
Just a little back story on this mild switch. Originally, the whole family was going to go to Zions, but when I got diverted out of town to DC, it put a bit more pressure on Coppelia. We observed the night before that the weather was not forecasted to be pleasant in Zions. Given the circumstances, it just made more sense to not go than to go. But, we did (or I mean Coppelia) did try and make the week memorable and think she was amazingly successful.

Instead of the great outdoors, the family did the great tulip festival and the great indoors. Yesterday was the big night out that included Melting Pot and the Utah Symphony at Abravenal Hall.

Nice night picture.  Note the LDS Temple in the background.

We had a "big kid" night in SLC. We had a four course meal at the Melting Pot ( all fondue and fancy drinks). Then off to the philharmonic for the Bonaparte symphony. Mother very impressed by everyone manners and taste. Going to do something like this every month

Sounds like a great outing

On the other side of the USA, Ken took these great pictures with his cell phone!
