SUMMER PROJECT

Remember that wonderful deck the Agle jr.'s have where all the boys ate their breakfast during the reunion?

It's a wonderful deck, but like most outdoor decks, the time eventually comes when it must be repainted.  This is what Dennis wrote:

It probably takes a trained eye to see that our patio has needed repainting for a few years. This summer, Suzanne and I decided that we would take it on for once and for all. A couple of evenings a week and some time on Saturdays until it was done. Just chipping away at it. We spent hours and hours scraping and sanding. Wonderful bonding experience. Except it was exhausting and it's hard to bond when power tools are involved. This went on for weeks. Finally, Ken persuaded us to give Horacio a call. We did. Horacio finished it the next day.

This is the before

I like to think it was like the bottle cap that we had loosened for him. But the fact really is that Horacio and son know what they were doing and worked really hard for many concentrated hours and had the equipment to knock it out. Oh, sure, there's that way.

This is the after

It's a work of art!
Anyway, Suzanne and I will happily try to find another way to bond that involves less need for painter's masks and ear plugs.

Note from Mom:  Horatio and son did a great job, but I know Dennis and Suzanne also did MAJOR work on it as well.
