Autumn in Arizona

From the Carltons:

We live at the base of a 10,000 foot mountain (Mt. Graham) and back in the 1880's settlers discovered that it was the perfect climate for apples and so they brought all kinds of apples and peaches and planted an orchard. That orchard is run by the same family today. We have been meaning to go all month but with football we never had time. Luckily there was no football practice today so we went to Angle Orchard to pick apples. We had never been there and were surprised to find out there are a 1,000 apple trees. We picked Granny Smith, Blushing Golden, Arkansas Black, and Fuji apples. The Arkansas Black were so tasty, nice and crisp also very sweet. After apple picking we went to a new covered park that opened recently the kids really liked the shredded tire playground surface. It was a really fun Family Home Evening!

What a fun place for the kids to play.
