SPRING IS SPINGING IN MAPLETON

Yes, it is true. Spring is springing in Mapleton.

 

SPRING????

Here's some pictures Julie sent a week ago just to show us the storm, but since NO ONE has sent any news, I'll post these. (Hint, hint.)

Those colored things in the trees are lights they hung to twinkle at night.


 Here's what Julie wrote:

I am attaching some pictures from last week - Tuesday -  It Snowed!! You don't have to post them it was just a surprise and it mostly melted by the afternoon.  We are maybe going to get a bit more snow this week.  It has been so cold!  The heat at the PO wasn't working yesterday (Mon.).  The city guys came to light the furnace but they didn't get there until 11:00 so it was 62 degrees in a cold brick building - burrrr.  I took a couple of hours to warm up.

I got the job as manager of the golf club so I will be able to pick up lots of hours there and maybe Scott and I can get a little caught up.  He is also working as a grounds keeper which is great!

It looks like a winter wonderland (but that's more fun in the winter, not spring!

 They also have something else new in their family. Meet Waffles. Cutest dog ever! Katie works at a Vet's office and someone could not care for this little 2 year old and the Lifferth's couldn't resist.

 

 He loves them and it is reciprocated.

AFTER DINNER

After dinner a little concert, some card games and a tour of the backyard.

 Sophie's homemade drum set. She's quite the drummer!

 It was a beautiful, warm day but a little cool for some.

 In those flats are seeds of just about everything you can think of that should be in a garden.

 The Agle Farm

 

 The walkway goes between the raised garden beds. No more getting down on your knees. The old baby bed will provide trellis'.

SUNDAY LUNCH AT THE K&C HOME

Later after church we enjoyed dinner with Ken & Coppelia's family.

 Ken making his FAMOUS rice. It was yummy!

 

 JP and Sophie are ready to warm the tortillas, supervised by big sister Aria.

 

 Dad is going to give them a few pointers.

 Too many cooks in the kitchen spoil the  . . .

 

We're ready to eat. Aria has the ice for the drinks, Ken is seating his Mom and JP is checking out the tortillas. We had fish tacos with all the trimmings, Ken's rice, and refried beans. A feast.
