A WEEKEND GETAWAY IN ONE OF THE WORLD'S BEST CITIES.

SAN FRANCISCO
Erik had a job for his company in San Francisco and somebody had to go, so......
Here, in his words:

I have a new apartment project in San Francisco and needed to go visit the jobsite.  I flew up on Thursday where I met Derek at his office and he took me to lunch.  After lunch I took a cab to the jobsite did my thing then went back to the hotel and got cleaned up.  Derek and I went to dinner at a Thai restaurant which was a new experience for me because I didn’t know if I liked Thai food…and it turns out I love Thai food.

On Friday Kristin flew up to spend the weekend with me.  We had a great time and thought that the weather in San Francisco in November is so much better than in July.  We spent the weekend walking around China Town, the financial district and the Embarcadero.  We would sample a few items at a restaurant and then we would walk the meal off and enjoy the city until we found another restaurant that looked good where would sample some more food.   It was great weekend getaway and we cannot  wait to go back sometime.

Looks like China Town to me.

Alcatraz Island in the background.

Of course if you go to San Francisco you have to ride a cable car!

LIFE IN PARADISE

While Utah was getting covered with a big, white fluffy blanket, Aria was enjoying some sunshine with her friends.

When traveling back to Laie from Honolulu there is a famous landmark called
CROUCHING LION
It's a bit up there.

The best thing about hiking in Hawaii - - - NO SNAKES!!!

Now that's  Million Dollar view - -and the scenery isn't so bad either!

The Result of Our Final Monthly Drawing of 12 in '12

Welcome family to this little video. Dennis is swamped and I'm not quite feeling up to snuff but we did it! Hooray. Congratulations to . . . .

WINTER HAS ARRIVED IN UTAH!

Yes, it's true. What follows Autumn but Winter and it hit with a big show in Utah.

Maple Mountain. Glorious!

And of course you have to make a snowman!

Guess if we had the reunion now we wouldn't be enjoying the back yard quite the same way!

Here's what it looked like over in Springville! No breakfast on the patio today!

On Halloween we went over to Erik & Kristin's to check out the kids costumes. Here's a few more she sent.

Kristin: I love the one of you guys with the sunset!

The box with the candy was our donation to
Operation Gratitude (where you send your halloween candy to the troops).

I did let the kids keep 20 pieces each.

Since I've been AWOL for a few days, here's some pictures to just enoy.

Declan is pictured on the left in this picture with his two dear friends they happened to get on the same team.  They have had a really rough season and lost every game by a lot, 0-46 for example. This was their last game of the season and they FINALLY won 20-19. You should have seen the celebrating on the sidelines those little boys were so happy you might have thought they won the Superbowl.  Declan was so happy about to finally win!!
It's not too late for a few more Halloween pictures, is it?

And who is that scary, fierce, dragon?

(I think Remmington might be under there).
