GARAGE SALE SATURDAY

What a week it has been . . .
January came down last week to help me get ready for a big garage sale! We worked on it every day selecting, marking and organizing "stuff" to sell. Erik brought us several folding tables which were invaluable.
We lined things up and down the hall, ready to take out.

 More of the same.

 Even in the entry hall.

 The boat didn't sell. :-(

Got rid of most of the DVDs but none of the Liken Series, of course!

Emptied out the drawers and cupboards and packed some things I'm taking for the inevitable move.

Saturday morning arrived at we were up before the sun. January left to put up the signs around the area, Erik arrived at 6:30a with Travis and Nate and the setting up began. By 7a we were ready to go and even though the sale was to be from 8:00a to 1p, people saw the signs and the show had begun!
We had things on tables in the garage and lined all along the front yard with items. Travis and Nathan found some "funny" glasses and decided to give them a try. They are resting in this picture, but they were B-I-G helpers.

Taking a very short break.
Me pushing a sale!

Fast forward to 12:15 and the crowds had lessened and we were ready to call it a day. BOY WERE WE READY!

We didn't sell Dad's desk or the (really old) black entertainment cabinet. In fact, we couldn't give it away. Called a few thrift stores and they wouldn't take it, so the boys broke it apart, spent some time loading them plus two filing cabinets and then headed to the dump!

It took some real maneuvering to get it all on, but $20 a load, is $20 and we wanted to do it in one go!

It just won't fit! Had to break it apart as well.

Success!
Me with Alpha and Omega! Great helpers.

Tool lady!

Tool lady too!
A "selfie" with all of us.

Time to count the moola!

All said and done, $1,149!
