The Spring Break event for Erik & Kristin was taking a ski trip to Mammoth with the family.
The first day was spent with the kids in ski school (a refresher course for the kids) and then they planned to ski the rest of the days. They brushed up on "pizza" skiing and advancing to "parrallel" skiing and also in the ski school they learn to do toe turns and hill turns with "S" curves. Three days later they were doing the "half pipe"!
Erik said Travis did great, Lindsey is a machine and Ryan is a natural. Those three plus Jeni, Carlos' step daughter who also went with them, did skiing lessons, but Nathan has opted to do snowboarding and he's a natural also.
This was a wonderful outing, and Erik said they had a near perfect vacation. He was estatic with the success of the week. Good fun and the kids all loved it and if given the option of the "mountain" or video games, they would always opt for the mountain.
Aimee also went and they all had some good conversations and lots of visiting time. The condo was very comfortable and the food was good.
Erik gives a lot of credit to Kristin who organized and made all the arrangements and saw that it happened.
Once nice little caveat was when they were in a restaurant, an older couple who were leaving came up to them and complimented them on how well behaved their large family was. :-)
