D U R I N G . . .

You've had the "before" pictures and now here are some "during" pictures. As you can see, there is a long ways to go to find a home for all those contents in the boxes. 

 Dennis picked up the U-Haul at 3p and met us at Costco where we loaded a new mattress and springs. Then it was off to Mapleton to get my "stuff".

 We were a little early for the help to arrive so Dennis, Steven and Nathan loaded all the boxes on the truck. Ken had put all the furniture in the middle and then surrounded it with the boxes and then covered it all with huge tarps to keep the cats away.

This is a pile of Christmas things that will stay in the garage until I have time to deal with them.

NEW DIGS

Here's some before pictures of my new apartment.

 You have just come down the steps from the garage and have entered my apartment.

 These cupboards are to the left and can store the vacuum etc., coats, etc.

 This is the bedroom and the end of the entry hall.

Great walk-in closet.

 Linen cupboard right out side the bathroom and in the bedroom corner.

 Lovely bathroom, deep tub!

 This is an electric fireplace. I will probably move it into the living room. I have my sliders ready to move it. It can plug in, in any outlet.

This is the kitchen. To the right of the fridge are folding doors behind which is a washer and dryer.

At 3p Dennis is getting a truck. He will drive it to Costco where I have purchased a mattress and springs. He will then drive to Ken and Coppelia's and hopefully some of their ward members will be there at 5p to load the truck. Then it's over to my new place where hopefully some members from Cobble Creek 5th ward will be there to unload the truck.

There you have it! In a few hours we are going to fit a round peg into a square hole!

Can you guess what this is?

A few weeks ago we had a family get-together at Maui & Kara Chai's house. There was lots of good food, swimming and after we ate, a tour of their beautiful home.

Their beautiful pool. The 1st building on the left houses the controls for the pool. It has different colored lights, and water spouts. The building beyond is the "conservatory", housing a library and a gorgeous grand piano.

(Ken was on his way home from India, and Coppelia decided to attend the next gathering).

OUT OF INDIA

The long awaited evening arrived. Ken and Coppelia had invited us over for an Indian dinner and to watch a slide show of some of the pictures he took during his 5-week stay in India.

 Welcome to our humble home.

 Dinner is nearly ready. Come, enjoy the new formal dining room.

 Steven is putting the finishing touches on the place settings. Note the new table and chairs that can seat up to 14 people.

 While waiting, Dennis took advantage of playing on that beautiful grand piano.

After dinner we all headed down to the media room to watch a presentation of some of the pictures Ken took.

 It was great to see the pictures on that giant screen and hear Ken tell us about them. He had divided them into 5 groups, with the main theme of "what I love about India".

Steven and Nathan cleared up all the dishes and took care of all the food. Thanks, guys.
