"THE PROPOSAL"

For those of you who haven't seen this "The Proposal", Dennis jr. instructed me on how to add it.  I think you will get a kick out of it.  Here's a quote from Dennis;

"Katie wasn't aware what was happening. She had supposed it was a special dinner up at the cabin. But you can pretty much see the moment when it dawns on her what might be happening.

Also fun to note that the musical score for this was composed and performed by Daren. The  composition is called "Katie."

I found out later that Daren had enlisted the aid of his friends and brothers to hide behind the trees with their cameras so they could get the whole thing recorded. Clever!

(PS  Be sure and turn on the sound and look for Katie's shaking knee.)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RHIANNON GERMAINE CARLTON

This lovely young mother to 4 boys is about to add a 5th child to the family. A G-I-R-L. She will have lots of big brothers to look after her.
We all wish Rhiannon a very special 35th birthday and a wonderful year to come.
You seldom find her without a smile on her face.

One happy couple.

Like most moms today, she spends a lot of time as a taxi driver.

Four lucky boys to have a great mom such as Rhiannon.

THE RECEPTION

That evening after the wedding ceremony a reception was held near Liz's home.  Good food, nice company, dancing and lots of good visiting.
Liz's parents, Mr. & Mrs. Cadwallader.

Nana & Grandad, (Bob's parents) visiting with January.

Mark enjoying his little Niece, Claire.

Derek & Jeanine enjoying a delicious drink.

A special wedding cake!

Here's what Mark wrote about his honeymoon. Check out the site if you want.

"To my family,
Thank you for coming to the wedding - we really appreciate it. I have all the pictures so I am sure I will show you in person, but wanted to send you a few. Liz and I got back from Mexico last night. It was a way good time - weather was 85 degrees and sunny, our place was a five-star resort (http://grandluxxe.com/ - nuevo vallarta), had 2 decks with a small pool on one of them and every worker there called me Mr. Sanders. We were treated like kings. I would say the average age of people was 65 - so not many people were swimming. So we had roughly 17 pools almost to ourselves. It was great. We went on a few adventures (http://www.vallarta-adventures.com/tours/outdoor-adventure) and ate great food. All in all, an amazing week.

I really appreciate all of you for taking time and coming for the wedding. It meant so much to me to see my family there. Thank you. I hope you all got home safely and had a good time.

Much love to you all,

Mark"

FUN AND GAMES

If the bride has a bridal shower, the groom has to have a bachelor party, right?  Mark's bachelor party consisted of several events but the one I got a kick out of was after the bachelor party, several of his buddies came over to the house and playing some old video games.  Of course it basically kicked me out of my bedroom because that was where the TV was for the games hook up.
When you were waiting your turn, you had a nice chat in the upstairs landing.

My bed was the center of the activity!

Some serious playing going on.

That's Blake wrestling with one of the guys.

Looks like Blake is winning!

THE WEDDING DAY!
Great-Grandma Agle gets some help from London in ironing Mark's shirt.

Look at that girl go!

Mark has a group of friend from his college & mission days.
They have ALL attended EVERY wedding and Mark
is the last one to get married.  Now that's a great friendship.

Don't drop him.

Presenting Mr. & Mrs. Mark Sanders.

How about a kiss for the video photographer (on the left).

LIZ & MARK'S WEDDING - -IT WAS A GREAT EVENT

Starting with on Thursday night all of us went to the Temple to be with Liz as she took out her own endowment.
Here's our group getting ready to head to Oakland.
Liz and her family drove there directly from their home.

Our Temple session is finished.

Two happy people.

The next day a bridal shower was held for Liz.
She received many, many lovely gifts.  It was well attended
we had a lot of fun (no games thankfully) and great food.

Later that afternoon, January & I and some friends headed to Chevy's where they had reserved a room for the Wedding Pary Celebration hosted by the Sanders.  We spent a couple of hours decorating the room with all the things Janaury had been making and gathering for this special occasion.

Let the party begin
Bob is welcoming everyone.

Melissa with Clair (on her hip) and little London having
a visit with Uncle Derek and Aunt Jeanine.

A friend visiting with the honored couple.

Signing in and taking a little favor home.

The party's over and all of our stuffis taken down, boxed up
and loaded.  January is with Grace.
The party was a HUGE success.
